Quasicon Xbox/PS/PS2/GameCube/PC Arcade Control Deck

One of these found its way into the Llamma's shop for some custom wiring by the Llamma.  This thing is pretty cool.  It comes with connections for all popular consoles or PC.  There are even two memory card slots for Xbox.

The buttons are perfect!  They feel great and respond nicely.  We hooked this up to an xbox and ran a controller test disc and found all buttons and sticks to be within normal specs for an Xbox controller.

Here is a quick run down of the button layout as compared with a normal hand held controller:
The large blue joystick is the D pad
The two small orange sticks are the thumbsticks
black and white are black and white
Green Blue Pink and Red are A,B, X and Y
Blue and Orange near the top are start and back
The two gray ones left of the orange sticks are used for the thumb stick clicks.

We had some fun using this in the shop, it really brings the arcade experience to your Xbox, its something about standing next to your opponent and being able to maybe lean over and put a little body English on your moves in  hopes of disrupting your foe ;-)  With our high tech injection molded stand as seen in the photo above (AKA beat-up milk crates) we did have to worry about knocking the whole mess onto the ground.

Likes-

Awesome button feel and response
Good layout of all controls
Plug and Play

Dislikes-

Thumb stick response during first person shooter play is less than desirable when moving the stick to a forward left position, it seems the refresh is slow and your turn is too slow to respond properly.  Adjusting the controls to allow one stick to aim and one for movement (standard halo configuration) seemed to resolve this issue.
