360 Fan Power Adapters

So you've got a new 360 with an HDMI port and want to connect some or all the cool devices by Talismoon.  We have a couple products to use and a plug and play solution for using these products with a HDMI console.

360 Elite/HDMI Fan Connector Power Adapter Llamma Elite/HDMI fan power adapter

3 pin Fan Power Splitter And a standard PC 3 pin fan splitter

If we take a look at the launch 360 we see that the fan connector has four pins.
In the new HDMI equipped consoles we see a standard 3 pin PC fan connector.  It should be noted this is wired in a non-standard fashion, the middle pin is ground and the outer pins are both positive.  We can still use a stock PC 3 pin fan splitter since all pins are straight through but if you are planning to splice into this splitter keep that tip in mind.

The new revision of whisper fans are set to go out of the box with connectors for either system, note the little adapter in the lower right.

But what about the Aurora light kit or the Twilight flow products?

In these photos we can see, the in and the out of each of the cables as well as the out to lights.

These work great on the non-HDMI consoles, they allow the fan to plug in since they are a pass through cable.

Both the aurora light kit and the aurora twilight flow's require some adapters to connect properly when used with a HDMI console.  For instance in the picture below we show the "worst" case scenario or at least the one that needs the most adapters.  You want to use the stock fan that came with the console and add an aurora twilight flow.  Not in the picture below but keep in mind you can even add an aurora light kit or two to the open end of the energyzer cable if desired (see the empty plug under the E in energizer?).  This setup shows a fan splitter at the start, followed by an elite/hdmi adapter, and then the energizer cable that is include with both the aurora twilight flow and the aurora light kit.

If you were using any of the aftermarket fans you would not need the fan splitter since both the Whisper and Whisper Max setups support either 3 or 4 pin setups.

To sum it up, if you are installing a Aurora Flow or Aurora Light kit on an HDMI console you will need the Elite/HDMI adapter, If you are planning to use the stock fan you will also need a fan splitter.  If you are installing it with either the whisper fan or the whisper max the adapters you need are included.
